Shivranjana Rathore

Shivranjana is a self-taught Indian writer who is now publishing her first book, Hineni, which is out on January 1st, 2019.

She writes essays, poetry, short stories and journalistic pieces, while also working as an illustrator. She has exhibited her work twice so far, and intends to use her writing and art to talk about 'things that we don't speak about', with a special focus on gender and mental health. It was this desire that motivated her to write an emotionally intense book, that makes Hineni, since emotionally abusive parenting is not spoken of in her culture.
