Etat : Good. First Edition. Bij het Beleg van Leiden, in 1574, stierf een derde van de bevolking. Nog jaarlijks herdenkt de stad het einde van deze belegering met hutspot, haring en wittebrood. Verdun zal voor altijd verbonden blijven met de Eerste en Leningrad met de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Recentelijk werd zowel Sarajevo als Beiroet hevig getroffen.
