Mild toning to pages and off-setting to end-papers. Ownership signature on front end-paper and loosely glued bookplate on front paste-down. Attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.50), has chipping to the spine ends and tips. Rubbing to folds. A couple of tiny closed edge-tears. Rear panel toning. Still bright and quite presentable. Though not marked in any way, this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son, David Hoffman, the noted documentary filmmaker, has signed a statement with information about his father, the artist, and attesting that the book was from his library.
