Papered boards a little bumped and rubbed; an excellent copy with the excellent dustwrapper (lightly creased and rubbed). Compiled from letters, diaries and manuscripts; the plates are predominantly portraits of members of the battalion. Loosely inserted are a copy of the original prospectus, three circular letters from the author to the Friends of the 50th Battalion, and two colour photographs of the headstone of the father of battalion member 2764 Herbert Gladstone Digance (John Digance, 1852-1917).
