Heavily illustrated with black-and-white and colour reprodutions, portraits and lithographic plates. Occasional use of different paper stocks. Notable display items and advertisements include: Fine Printing Inks, by Ault & Wibourg New York and a spectacular lithogragh using the same by Earhart & Richardson, Cin, others by Harker, Cin., Kelsmscott series and Bradley Outline, (and others) by ATF; Nestor Scripts, by Barnhart Bros, Okie High Grade Inks, Electric City Engraving ('Finest half-tones, Lowest prices'), Sheridan's paper cutters, Sprague electrical motors, etc. Half purple morocc, gilt, with pebbled cloth sides, extremities worn, hinges a bit damaged but holding. Almost a very good copy. Much on half-tone printing, stereotyping, proper use of the Linotype, process engraving, photo-engraving. The sinking of the USS Maine and the Spanish-American War features is of greater interest than one might imagine.
