Pages are clean, bright, and unmarked throughout. Illustrated with frontispiece, complete with original tissue guard. Black glossy endpapers present. Previous owner?s cursive signature dated 1883 to the front free endpaper. Includes publisher?s advertisements for other works by Oliver Wendell Holmes and a complete index.
