Hard Back. Etat : Book VG. Etat de la jaquette : No Dustjacket. First Edition. 124 pages. Attractive brown binding, partial gilt desing offset to front with gilt titles to front & spine, some wear to bottom spine-end, top spine-end is chipped & split to top hinge-ends 1-2cm., wear to corners which are slightly knock with small frays to bottoms. Slight surfade marks to spine, brown coloured end-papers, name deleted in ink to half-title page, slight foxing to preliminaries, page-edges are foxed, light paper crack to inner front hinge at end-papers. Page-margins have some light foxing & a few have brown blotching. Attractive sepia plates & colour frontispiece. Still a nice volume.

Hardcover. Etat : Fair. No Jacket. Undated but the forward is dated March, 1915. The boards show heavy scuffing to the spine head with loss of surface and netting showing, less to tail, corners and edges bumped, some surface tearing, liquid stain to bottom edge and corner, general staining and fading. The leaves are tight and in fairly good condition. The pages all show light foxing stains and liquid staining to the bottom edge and corner. A very small number of red pencil annotations. Moderate spotting to the text block edges and red stain to the bottom. Still quite a solid book and in general fairly clean. Probably closer to good than fair. Measures 22.1 x 14.7 x 2.5cm. 150 pages.

A 14 page reprint from 'The Friends Quarterly Examiner' Pages clean with some foxing on first page only.The brown card covers have a recent white linen spine, an amateur repair which could be improved upon. Together with a single page reprint (1932) from Hertfordshire Mercury entitled, 'Mary Pryor of Hertford'. No insc. Pages a little loose. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
