Circa 1930 Sundial Mystery Library series from John Hamilton, who originally published it in 1928. Attractive dustwrapper artwork shows 3 figures, robed & hooded in white, menacing a bound gagged figure of a man. Boards a little patchily sunned which reflect the chips on dustwrapper. Dustwrapper has chips to top of front panel & smaller to rear. Also base of spine has approx half inch chip. Seems very uncommon.

Cloth. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. Undated - believed to be 1929 The book is bright and firm . The dj has moderate wear with a little chipping ,there is a (damaged) label on the spine with a price of 1/- , see pic Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Etat : Very good. First edition. 8vo. Original red cloth. Dust-jacket, correctly priced 7/6. Cloth spine slightly dulled, otherwise VG; jacket a little rubbed at spine ends, but overall VG. Jacket artwork by Crichton. A pleasing example of this first edition, seemingly one of only two titles by this author. A conspiracy to murder a leading art expert unravels. Scarce. Book.

The spine a bit faded. Some minor foxing to the endpapers. Internally the book remains very solid. The complete dust jacket has the 7s 6d price to the spine. The jacket is bright and pleasing with only minor edge-wear and very shallow chipping. Artwork by Crichton. A nice example of a very scarce title. Very Good / Very Good.
