The drastic changes in the Under Graduate and Post Graduate curriculum for the MBBS and MD students has led us to bring this book titled "OSCE and OSPE in Forensic Medicine" for the UG students, PG students in Forensic Medicine, and the medical faculty. This book will be of great help for UG students, PG students and their teaches as well, for preparation of the course syllabus and for methods for assessment of undergraduates and Post Graduates in their Examinations. Earlier each student was accessed differently with different questions and by different modes of questioning and by different examiners, which used to introduce biases in the examination system. One of the best methods to access the students is by Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) as same question is asked by all the students and the performance is measures objectively by the examiner. This book is designed keeping in mind the new requirements and course content of the new curriculum in Forensic medicine, as per MCI. Carefully designed OSCE and OSPEs will access the students thoroughly in the Knowledge, ethical, attitude and behavioural aspect while dealing with the patients or their relatives. The OSCE and OSPE are designed keeping in mind the Competencies, Objectives and skills which a Under graduate and Post Graduate student must learn and achieve during their tenure in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. We are sure that this book will be of immense help to the students in reaching their goal of becoming better physician or surgeons, (MBBS and MD graduates) as per the new guidelines of Medical Council of India. All questions in the book are framed in a simple and easy to understand language and keeping objectives and competencies for that topic in consideration. All the questions are independently verified and validated by the Author and the co-authors. We sure that the students will gain experience and learn the requisite skills and assess themselves by reading and attempting the OSCE and OSPE.
