Hardback. Etat : Very Good. A Month of Happiness from Ms. Mollie: 31 Days of Healthy Living is putting a spoonful of love in everything you do for thirty-one days. Make an effort daily to do something for yourself, eating something nutritious, and try a few of my mental messages for the soul. Then, pray. In my book, relationships relate to cooking. He pulls me close and I am devoured-drowned / he has hands like oceans / they never know to be still Poet Natalie Ann's debut collection, Hands like Oceans covers themes of love, loss, self-acceptance, and the struggles of mental illness. Paperback. Etat : Very Good. There is but one book in the language admitted by all to be the standard one on Sanctification. It is the work of the Rev. Walter Marshall, published in 1692, The Gospel Mystery of Sanctification. It has at all times received the highest praise from men of eminence both as theologians and as saints. It is much to be regretted that the book is not better known among the members of our Christian churches. This may partly be accounted for by the author's style and treatment of his subject. His editors admit that his style is at times obscure, and that the book requires a more than ordinary attention to read it with profit. According to the fashion of the time, the argument is so broken down into divisions and subdivisions, that it is only by continually referring back and marking his stages carefully that the reader can keep hold of the thread. Such writing is not only wearying, but gives occasion to frequent repetition. What appears to me, however, specially to hinder the interest and usefulness of the work is the introduction of questions, which are indeed of importance as connected with the subject, but still distract the attention of the earnest inquirer who wants a plain answer to the question, how he can be made holy? On this account I have often felt that an abridgment, in which subordinate points were only indicated in passing, and prominence given to the teaching on Sanctification which gives special value to the book, might be the means of giving it a wider circulation and influence. In preparing such an abridgment I have adhered literally to the words of the author. I shall, at the same time, in this introductory note, and in giving, as I venture to do, new headings to the chapters, endeavour to give the reader such a complete view of the argument of the original work, that he can at once see the relation of the larger extracts to the scope of the whole. I have also made use of italics to indicate the thoughts which appear of special importance: though some readers do not require them, there are others to whom it is a real help to have the eye thus aid the mind. Andrew Murray. Slavin, Bill (illustrateur).…

Paperback. Etat : Good. Welcome to 603 Bowling Avenue, a lush, empty Colonial Revival house tucked away in a leafy Nashville neighborhood. Who's that in the ratty attic bedroom, holed up like a squirrel, writing real estate ads as fast as she can? Delia Ballenger, former Nashvillian. She's back in town to sell the house that her tender-hearted big sister inexplicably left her after dying in a car crash. Delia would like to get back to Chicago as fast as possible. However, uninvited people keep showing up at the front door: Her mother, Grace Ballenger. Brilliant federal judge and the number-one reason Delia lives in another state. A patrician neighbor, Angus Donald. Ethan Hardy, rotund country music superstar. Shelly Carpenter, watchful housekeeper. Brother-in-law Bennett Schwartz, a wretched surgeon, along with his girls Cassie and Amelia-the nieces she's never known. And, most vexing, a charming real estate agent, Henry Peek. Noble? Or not? Delia finds herself up to her eyeballs in a flood of delayed reactions, secrets, and the sort of love that sneaks up on you. For everyone who has muttered You can't go home again, here's what happens when you go anyway. You'll laugh. You may cry, if you're the weepy type. And you'll cheer for Delia even as you wonder how she can eat a Pop-Tart as an entree. Like The Descendants, Bowling Avenue is a story of learning how to let go, hold on-and bail water.…

Paperback. Etat : Good. The climate crisis is the issue of our time. Scientists have warned for over 100 years that burning fossil fuels and destroying nature will warm the earth's atmosphere and affect the climate in adverse ways: more severe and intense storms, prolonged heat waves, drought, flooding, wildfires, rising sea levels and ocean acidification. Urgent Message from a Hot Planet: Navigating the Climate Crisis outlines the science behind global heating and its root causes, provides ways to take action and honors the efforts of the millions of youth and adult allies from around the world working tirelessly to make a difference. Their powerful message: do something now! The epub edition of this title is fully accessible. Wuthrich, Belle (illustrateur). …
