Mit diesem ständigen Bedarf an Vernetzung wird auch Netzwerksicherheit benötigt und es muss eine Notwendigkeit bestehen, die Daten zu überwachen, die im Netzwerk geteilt werden. Unser Projekt arbeitet mit der Client-Server-Architektur. Es überwacht nicht nur die Daten, sondern hilft auch bei der Freigabe der Dateien, wenn sie mit einem gemeinsamen Netzwerk verbunden sind, und hält den Netzwerkverkehr aufrecht, so dass jede autorisierte Person ohne Verzögerungen oder Probleme auf die Dateien zugreifen kann. Die Freigabe erfolgt über eine symmetrische Verschlüsselung, die den Advance Encryption Standards (AES) verwendet. Eine Person muss sich zunächst registrieren. Diese Informationen werden an den Administrator weitergegeben, der die Registrierung zulassen oder sperren kann. Sobald die Person registriert ist, kann sie Daten oder Dateien nur an die registrierten Benutzer senden. Der Benutzer muss die Datei mit einem verschlüsselten Schlüssel registrieren und der Empfänger muss sie mit demselben Schlüssel entschlüsseln. Dieser ganze Prozess wird vom Administrator überwacht und wenn jemand versucht, in das System einzudringen, wird eine Benachrichtigung angezeigt und der Administrator kann die IP-Adresse verfolgen und die betreffende Person sperren. Die Kommunikation erfolgt vollständig drahtlos und intern.
