The contents cover the various wounds, infections, and battlefield conditions such as extremes of hot or cold, and trench foot. The book opens with a chapter on general considerations, and ends with an appendix and index. It is illustrated with both diagrams and photographs throughout.There are marks, wear, and foxing to the boards. Part Five has damp stain/damage to back cover and pages (pages are still legible).
