Corners bumped. Some staining, mottling to the cloth boards. Rubbing to the spine surface, but the spine gilt is still fairly bright. Wear at the spine extremities. The leather is split along the bottom 4" of the rear spine edge, and there is a crack across the leather at the mid-lower spine. The front hinge is cracked, but the binding is still quite solid (the book was well-bound to support the weight). Endpapers and page edges are somewhat age-toned, with a bit of spotting on the edges.
