"Le Spleen de Paris" is a collection of 50 short prose poems by Charles Baudelaire, the iconic author of "Les Fleurs du Mal" (The Flowers of Evil). The collection was published posthumously in 1869 and is associated with the modernist literary movement. This limited edition is splendidly illustrated throughout with 10 tissue-guarded etchings by Édouard Chimot. One of 705 numbered copies, of which this is No. 622. Some age-toning to glassine. Text in French. Dust-jacket, wrappers and interior in very good condition.
