Some general edge corner and surface wear. Interior is lightly toned on edges. Book is square and securely bound. Bigham was a minister in the North Georgia Conference of the Methodist Church. He wrote mostly juvenile books, and this story is one. The story, which purports to be true, is of a trip to Missouri but also to God. Bigham served many churches in North Georgia and died in Demorest. This book is relatively uncommon. The first edition was in 1878. This copy is the first in the Southern Metodist's Our Prize Series. ; Our Prize Series; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 271 pages.
