He conceived and led the 'Thank You Britain' fund in the 1960s, raising £96,000 (well over £1 million in todayÕs terms) within the Jewish refugee community from central Europe, for a scholarship fund and series of annual lectures at the British Academy. / Yasmin Peterson (1929-2012) was born at Wynsberg, Cape Province, South Africa, married Conte Brandolino Brandolini d'Adda, Conte di Valmareno, son of Conde Annibale Brandolini d'Adda, Conte di Valmareno and Principessa Laura Boncompagni-Ludovisi, on 1 October 1951 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.
