Brown slipcase rubbed with soiling and stains, paper tears and splits at seams, patch of paper peeling on a side panel. No dust jacket. Khaki colored cloth spine with toned paper title label; marbled paper over boards. Deckle fore-edge and bottom edge. Three-line ink Christmas 1964 gift inscription on front free endpaper with name in middle line obtrusively obscured under several swaths of black marker. Rectangular patch of toning to bottom spine corners of rear endpapers caused by a now removed bookseller's ticket. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. A very good copy in a poor slipcase. Limitation and John Henry Nash's signature are provided upon a rear colophon page.
