Ajouter au panierHard Cover. Etat : Good. First Edition. Maidstone, printed by R.J.Cutbush, 1822. First edition. Octavo. [2], (x), [2], pp5-138. Errata slip bound in after the final leaf. A provincially printed book of poetry and prose by Robert Carnall, described on the title page as 'late schoolmaster of Shipborne, Kent'. Carnall must have been a popular or at least well-known figure in his locale as the list of subscribers at the front of the volume runs to 10 pages, with a number of the subscribers noted as ordering two or three copies. A scarce item, with Worldcat locating only three copies (British Library, Oxford and Durham universities) and COPAC locating a fourth at Leicester university. No copies are recorded as having been sold at auction. Bound in the original dark grey paper boards. Professionally rebacked in cloth with the remains of the original paper label mounted onto the spine. All edges uncut. Occasional very light foxing. Otherwise, a clean copy with the text block sound and the binding in good condition. NB The price of this item is variable dependent on your chosen payment method. Please feel free to make contact for further information and to request additional photographs of this item or to discuss payment options. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
