Recently re-backed with original gray spine cloth albeit trimmed at ends and along joints now overlaid upon new slightly darker green buckram cloth; original light green boards with corners repaired in same darker green buckram. Pictorial front board and spine retain still reasonably bright gilt stamping; some scuffing along beveled board edges. All edges gilt. New blank white endpapers and flyleaves with former replacing the original floral patterned light green endpapers. Interior pages remain clean and all plates and illustrations collate as complete. Frontispiece's tissue guard has loss at fore-edge bottom corner. Else a very good copy.
