Octavo (23.5cm); blue cloth spine over orange paper-covered boards, with titling stamped in orange on spine; dustjacket; xxxvii,[2],3-524,[2]pp. While not explicitly marked as such, this copy is from the library of noted poet, translator, and anthropologist Nathaniel Tarn (1928-2024), with occasional pencil markings to margins throughout. Light rubbing of paper to front board, with trace soil to edges of textblock, and upper marginal creases to several pages; Very Good. Dustwrapper, designed by Ilona Sochynsky, unclipped (priced $17.50), lightly tanned, with 0.5" tear to lower front spine fold, 0.5" tear to lower front flap, and light creases to front panel and extremities; Very Good. Collection of poetry includes Robert Duncan's "Processional of the Dead", Irving Layton's "The Cold Green Element", Theodore Enslin's "Landscape with Figures", and Cid Corman's "A Child Performs Shimai".
