The book is in very good condition with good hinges, firm text block, light foxing to the outer edge of the text block as well as some very, very light foxing to the half-title and title pages, pages clean, name written inside the front cover beneath the dustjacket flap, no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is priceclipped and is good to very good with some age darkening mainly to the rear cover, edgewear, small chip to the spine head, very little paper loss. First, Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

The second major omnibus of Lovecraft's work. The title story, first published in October 1919 in the amateur publication Pine Cones, features a backward Catskill killer turned asylum inmate patient who undergoes medical experiments to understand his dreams.
