Ajouter au panierFirst editions. Scientology incunabula, from the very beginning of the religion, being the first four issues of this newsletter. Articles from Perry A. Chapdelaine, John J. Robinson, Fred S. Boyd, Clifton Amsbury, H. R. "Wing" Angell, and other early proponents of Hubbard's church. Chapdelaine (1925-2015) was an important figure… in the early years of Scientology, being an associate and auditor of Hubbard's. He, like LRH, also wrote science fiction. Right before this newsletter was published, Hubbard had rented an office in Denver for theAllied Scientists of the World, which wasaccording to a Perry interview "a complex Hubbardian scheme designed to end war and to bring about the first Dianetic community." Perry was involved in this effort, issuing publications and running the office. The foundation was short lived, and Perry was soon invited to audit at the new center in Phoenix. We find little record of this newsletter, with just a few mentions of "The Communicators" in various other Scientology publications from the same time. OCLC shows no holdings. For that reason, we could reasonably guess the newsletter only lasted these four issues, perhaps before evolving into a different publication at a later date. 4 volumes, 4tos, 20, 32, 23, and 25pp. Mimeographed, printed recto only. Stapled, printed wrappers as issued. Rear wrappers loose from staples in nos. 1, 3, and 4. Some chipping, edge tears, and toning to cheap paper. Generally very good or better.

In the publisher's dust jacket, bright illustrations, fine condition. Signed on the front free endpaper: "Best Wishes, Roger Ailes." An exceptionally rare book signed… by Ailes, with no record of other copies appearing on the public market. Roger Ailes (1940-2017) was an American television executive and founding CEO of Fox News Channel from its inception in 1996 until his resignation in July 2016. Prior to his work in television, Ailes had a career in political consulting, advising Republican presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush, among others. During his tenure at Fox News, he played a pivotal role in shaping the network's conservative-leaning programming and its reputation for opinion-driven news coverage. Ailes faced multiple allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct throughout his career, leading to his departure from Fox News. He passed away on May 18, 2017, at the age of 77. First edition of You Are The Message: Secrets of the Master Communicators, signed by Roger Ailes of Fox News. (illustrateur). Signed.
