"Minet, Poëme"est l'oeuvre de la femme de lettre rouennaise Louise Levesque, née Cavelier ; la "muse normande" ici présente est l'oeuvre de l'abbé Marie-Pierre Fontaine, curé de Vassonville-sur-Seine. Comme ministre de la Marine, Maurepas chercha surtout à améliorer les techniques de navigation et de construction navale. Cette 3e édition est la plus complète, et elle contient une étonnante suite de caricatures.
