Sara JKeanette Duncan (1861-1922) was a Canadian-American author and journalist, was first trained as a teacher but soon became a columnist and travel writer for the Toronto Globe. She later worked for the Washington Post as editor of the Current Literature section. After her 1890 marriage to Everard Charles Cotes she turned to writing fiction.
