Top eges gilt. Light wear to edges. Vol. II has light soiling on front covers and a bit of wrinkling to rear cover near spine. Ink inscription on front free endpapers: "Prize in Surgery Class 1912 Presented to Miss Maud Beckett by H. A. Beatty." Paper browned. A few pages uncut. Occasional foxing or spots. Kate Maud Beckett, R.N. (1885-1960) is buried in Aylmer, Cemetery, Elgin Co., Ontario. She graduated from Toronto Western Hospital in 1912 with prizes in surgery and dietetics.
