As new condition blue boards with a navy blue spine and silver spine lettering contained in an as new condition non price-clipped color photographic dust jacket. Includes Dedication; Foreword by Jack Nicklaus; Preface by Tom Watson; and Introduction by Nick Seitz. Profusely illustrated with color photographs. "Golf is timeless. But most golfers' swings are not. Tom Watson, one of the true legends of the game, reveals the techniques behind the swing that has kept him a champion for more than four decades. Tom Watson, a few months short of his sixtieth birthday, led the 2009 British Open with one hole to play and came within an unlucky bounce of winning it for the sixth time. His stunning performance electrified the golf world and showcased a swing that has endured as a model of good mechanics, rhythm, and repeatability. In The Timeless Swing, Watson draws on all the knowledge and expertise he has accumulated over the course of his extraordinary career, imparting lessons that will help golfers of any age play to the best of their abilities and enjoy the game more. From fundamentals like learning the proper grip to advanced shot-making techniques such as swinging in wind, he breaks down the full swing into all its parts and explains with his trademark easy voice the most effective ways for mastering each. Watson complements these lessons with time-tested drills and also offers a variety of tips and exercises to help golfers continue to swing well as they get older. And for the first time ever, he reveals the two key concepts he considers the most important of all - concepts that can enable players of all levels to attain a timeless swing. The Timeless Swing is illustrated with stunning photographs by award-winning Golf Digest photographer Dom Furore, and Watson carefully draws the reader's eye to what is essential in each photo, providing the kind of easy-to-understand guidance usually found only in private lessons. With a foreword by Jack Nicklaus and archival highlights of Tom Watson's most memorable shots and tournaments, this is an indispensable guide from a consummate teacher and one of the most respected and admired players in the game" - from the inner front jacket flap.

Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Near Fine. Dom Furore (illustrateur). 1st Edition. Stated First Edition with Number Line to 1. Signed and inscribed on the half-title page: 'To David, All my best! Tom Watson'. See photo. You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They are very clean. The silver lettering on the spine is nicely bright. There's some minor wear, a crease just above the front and rear bottom corners, a little crinkling at the top edge of the spine, a light vertical (sort of) crease or raised line on the front, and a small thin indent on the rear covers middle edge, none of it particularly significant. The corners are in very good shape. The page edges are exceptionally clean. I don't see any soiling. The white inside covers and endpapers are also perfectly clean. The book is very solidly bound with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The rear cover is actually a little extra tight at its juncture which causes it to bow out just a little bit. The interior of the book is in very good condition. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. The white inside covers and end papers are also perfectly clean. I'm not seeing any placeholder creases. There is a light, vague semi-crease just off the bottom corner of a number of pages, not very conspicuous. There are no markings in the book. No attachments. And the signed inscription is the only writing to be found anywhere. There are color photographs on most of the pages. They're all in excellent condition. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It looks perfectly clean. It has only a little bit of wear, again a bit of creasing just above the bottom corners, also off the top edge of the spine. The flaps are in excellent condition, perfectly clean, a tiny crease at the rear flap's bottom corner just adjacent to the middle edge. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a large protective cover after the photos are scanned. From the dust jacket: 'Golf is timeless. But most golfers' swings are not. Tom Watson, one of the true legends of the game, reveals the techniques behind the swing that has kept him a champion for more than four decades. The Timeless Swing is illustrated with stunning photographs by award-winning Golf Digest photographer Dom Furore, and Watson carefully draws the reader's eye to what is essential in each photo, providing the kind of easy-to-understand guidance usually found only in private lessons.'. Ajouter au panierPOOR.OLD.TIRED.HORSE. Numbers 9-25,1961 -1967 - all original. 17 issues in total. Edited by Ian Hamilton Finlay, POOR.OLD.TIRED.HORSE. is seen as the most important concrete poetry journal of the 1960s in Britain. The journal title comes from Robert Creeley's poem "Please" (1959). It has become highly influential for both poets and artists (see for example the ICA group exhibition POOR.OLD.TIRED.HORSE. of 2009). Issue no. 10 is 'a concrete number', including Augusto de Campos, Eugen Gomringer, Dom Sylvester Houédard and Edwin Morgan. Issue no. 12 is a 'Visual Semiotic Concrete' edition. Issue no. 18 is a collaboration, with writings and script by Ad Reinhardt and drawings and layout by Bridget Riley. Issue no. 25 the final issue is dedicated to one-word poems.
