Spiral-bound in thin binder's board covers, the front cover stenciled by hand in black marker with an original cut-paper collage. Includes work by Charles Bukowski, Todd Moore, Maged Zaher, Nicole Sarrocco, Harvey Goldner, James B. Moore, David LaTerre, Antler, Ira Parnes, Dan Fante, et al. SPREAD was an innovatine, free tri-fold poetry zine distributed at bookstores and coffee shops in Seattle. It is noted for the unnumbered June, 2001 issue, entirely composed of poems by Charles Bukowski being published for the first time. Included are rear is the editor/publisher's farewell address (which he has boldly signed in blue ink), and a facsimile of his landlord's eviction notice, by way of documenting SPREAD's demise. SPREAD was later revived and continues to appear.
