Soft cover. Etat : Near Fine. No Jacket. Special Edition. Advance Reader's Copy of Uncorrected Proofs in paperback. Clean & tight ARC paperback, unread, in Near Fine condition. "Considering the enormous success of Spamalot and the rabidity of Python's evergreen cross-generational fanbase, it's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since there's been a new Python book by all the surviving members. Now, to celebrate forty years of Monty Python--what the boys are calling their 'Ruby Jubilee'--comes MONTY PYTHON LIVE! as a paperback original. In the words of Eric Idle, 'Over 200 pages lavishly illustrated and lovingly hand crafted by ancient comedians in hand-tooled sentences, this book is the final word on the five hundred years that these six men, one girl, half a musician and an elk toured the then-known world.' In the seventies, as the Beatles of comedy, the Pythons toured the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and elsewhere, and MONTY PYTHON LIVE! is the account of those wild tours, with original material of the surviving Pythons recounting the inside dope, plus a chronological oral history, and material from many of the routines--including some of their most famous--which they performed on the tour, and which have never before appeared in print. MONTY PYTHON LIVE! also includes over 100 never-before-seen images and Python memorabilia [b&w in these proofs] and all organized by their U.S. major domo, the very charming Eric Idle." [publisher copy] ARC copy w/sharp corners & crisp edges, a square & tight binding w/no creases in spine & no jacket as issued.

Hardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. 1st Edition. The Brand New Monty Python Bok; written by the cast; edited by Eric Idle; illustrated by Terry Gillian and Peter Brookes; Eyre Methuen Ltd., London 1973. First edition. This book is pure, irreverent Monty Python, crazy beyond belief. An extension of their show. The title page is buried in the middle of the book. They wrote their own reviews Here is Monty Python s eagerly awaited second book. In it the themes and patterns of the first book are stated and re-stated, but with a new and perceptive dramatic intensity which is really triffic, absolutely triffic. And the terffic thing about it is it s so triffically good. On the first free endpaper is glued in a library withdrawal listing of people who have taken this book out see the photo. During the first part of the book they keep referring to Page 71, as if there is something incredibly important there look at the photo. This book has no surprises if you are a Python fan like me. This large format book is in near-fine condition in a very-good dust jacket that is now enclosed in a protective mylar wrap.
