Missouri unlike other states have had very little written about the Union regiments; however, this book cover one Missouri regiment without a previous Re…gimental history and is almost certainly one of the most unique. The Phelps Regiment was recruited in 1861 to serve for 6 months and the only major battle they fought was The Battle of Pea Ridge in Arkansas. The book has black and white photos and has the Roster of the Phelps Regiment. A rare book on the Civil War. Book.
