Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm mono vinyl rock 'n roll record, RCA Victor LPM-2999, "Monaural" to label, very-good-plus vinyl in a very-good cardboard jacket with some edge rub and a four-inch split to top edge. Includes Leiber & Stoller's "Little Egypt", Sid Tepper & Roy Bennett's "It's A Wonderful World," and Dolores Fuller's (yes, THAT Dolores Fuller) "Big Love Big Heartache." John L. Scott of the Los Angeles Times called the film -- co-starring Barbara Stanwyck and Joan Freeman -- "a trite, cliche-ridden story that has been thrown together to showcase Elvis Presley and his vocalizing. It serves its purpose well, and probably will prove a box office bonanza for producer Hal Wallis." It did, with the relatively hit-free soundtrack album hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Album Chart. (In 1962, this entry's "love interest," Joan Freeman, played Perry Mason's client Jennifer Wakely in TV's "The Case of the Fickle Filly." In 1966, she guest starred on The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in "The Bat Cave Affair." Her last known motion picture performance was as "Mrs. Jarvis" in the 1984 horror film "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.") This LP now reduced from $20.
