All about the enchanting dreams of a darling 2 year old boy. Recased with matching blue cloth spine and corners, new yellow endpapers, white boards darkened to grey, some inner joints neatly repaired with paper strips, a crease to inner margin of 1 text page strengthened with linen binder's tape, this text page reinserted the wrong way round, 2 pages slightly worn at 1 edge with tiny nicks. Contents otherwise nice, no inscriptions. A good plus tight copy. As soon as Master Johnnie's Nanny puts him to bed Little Boy Blue arrives and takes him off in Cinderella's coach 'To the beautiful land.//Where pots of jam/Grow on the ground;/Plum-pudding birds/Fly all around.//And buns and cakes,/And dolls and sheep,/Lie side by side/In a lovely heap'. He meets Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Dame Trot and her pig, Baa Baa Black sheep etc. He rides on the Banbury Cross Horse and dines with the King on Blackbird Pie. He has great fun. Book is complete but has been repaired at the hinges and the outer spine with some kind of glue, it is not too bad a job but is apparent as not being professionaly done, endpapers are browned.
