It is the story of an American frontier and the life that ran parallel with it. It is told with bits of fiction and an abundance of fact which is mostly stranger than fiction. The author was born in the Cherokee Strip of OK soon after it was opened to settlers in 1893 where her father and both grandfathers made the race. Her novel is based on the true life of her and her family as the region was settled. The dates, places and events are authentic but the names and personalities have been altered for publication. A clean very presentable copy.
