Large Size Billionaire genius Genoa Greeves never got over the shocking death of her favorite teacher, Bennett "Dr. Ben" Alston Little, murdered execution-style and stuffed into the trunk of his Mercedes-Benz. No arrests were ever made, no killer charged for the brutal crime. Fifteen years later, the high tech CEO reads about another execution-style murder; this time the victim is a Hollywood music producer named Primo Ekerling. There is no obvious connection, but the case is eerily similar to Little's and Genoa feels the time is right to close Dr. Ben's case once and for all-offering the L.A.P.D. a substantial financial "incentive" if justice is finally served for Little. Lieutenant Peter Decker resents having to commit valuable manpower to a fifteen-year-old open case simply because a rich woman says "Jump!" Sill, the recent murder of Primo Ekerling does bear a disturbing resemblance to Little's case, even though two thug suspects are currently behind bars for the Ekerling murder. Decker can't help but wonder about a connection. His first phone calls are to the two primary investigators in the Little case, retired detectives Calvin Vitton and Arnie Lamar. Lamar is cooperative, but Vitton is not only reluctant to talk, he winds up dead of a suspicious suicide twelve hours later. Plunging into this long-buried murder, Decker discovers that even though the two slayings are separated by a decade and a half, there is still plenty of greed, lust, and evil to connect the dots. Decker's team of top investigators not only includes his favorite homicide detectives, Scott Oliver and Marge Dunn, but also his newly minted Hollywood detective daughter, Cindy Kutiel, whose help proves to be invaluable. His wife Rina Lazarous, continues to be his backbone of support, offering a cool, rational outlook despite her growing concern for her husband's welfare and safety. Rina's worries and fears begin to build at a fevered pitch as past and present collide with a vengeance, catapulting an unsuspecting Peter Decker closer and closer to the edge of an infinite dark abyss.

The company, founded in 1983 in Boulder, Colorado by Jeff Sauter, Phil Adam and Mike Franklin, was best known for its simulation games, notably the Falcon series of combat flight simulators, and for publishing the first version of Tetris outside the Soviet Union (in 1987, for MS-DOS). Spectrum HoloByte also published games for various home computers and video game consoles. The chairman of Spectrum HoloByte, Gilman Louie, also founded Nexa Corporation, a developer of entertainment software, which went on to merge with Spectrum HoloByte and company President Phil Adam prior to the company's move from Colorado to California. In 1992, HoloByte received an investment from Kleiner Perkins, which let the company repurchase shares formerly owned by Robert Maxwell's companies, ending its ties to their bankruptcies. In December 1993, Spectrum HoloByte merged with MicroProse to form MicroProse Inc. For the following years, games from both companies were published under their respective brands, but in 1996 all titles were consolidated under the MicroProse brand. Hasbro Interactive acquired the merged company in 1998, and what had been Spectrum HoloByte ceased to exist when the development studio in Alameda, California was closed in 1999. Tank [tm] is a realistic military simulation of modern land combat. The program is based on a real military simulation network system used by the United States Army for training at Fort Knox. The system is called SIMNET. TANK is an accurate recreation of this systems.

After the failure of his final voyage in search of El Dorado, Raleigh is recalled, condemned under his earlier sentence, and led to execution. The account captures his composure, eloquence, and the political pressures surrounding his fate. It remains one of the most poignant episodes of Jacobean statecraft and imperial disappointment. 1 PAGE. Printed in double columns. A genuine 1778 printing taken from the authoritative Complete Collection of State Trials. Originally compiled to serve both as a legal reference and a vehicle of political discourse, the State Trials series shaped contemporary and subsequent understanding of justice, authority, and dissent. The generously sized sheets on which these trials are printed offer particular pleasure to the eye and hand, bearing clear signs of their handmade origin: chain lines and wire impressions from the mould are readily visible, some pages display watermarks, and the paper varies subtly in thickness, all characteristic of 18th century rag paper. This particular trial report has been preserved in a modern card cover, prepared for practicality - an unassuming but serviceable presentation that favours function over finery. Size: 30 x 47 cms. Davison, one of Elizabeth Is principal secretaries, is charged before the Star Chamber for his handling of the warrant authorising the execution of Mary Queen of Scots. The proceedings reveal how Elizabeth sought to distance herself from responsibility for Mary Stuarts death, placing blame on Davison for allowing the warrant to proceed. The case exposes the political manoeuvring, fear, and deniability surrounding one of the most consequential acts of Elizabeths reign. 6 PAGES, printed in double columns.
