A thorough catalogue of the plants in the Cambridge Botanic Garden. There were many attempts to establish a University Botanic Garden in Cambridge, but all were unsuccessful until the 1760s. In the 1820s the garden was moved to a larger site, further from the centre of the city. James Donn, the author of this work, became the curator of the garden in 1790, and first published this work in 1796. He was a Fellow of the Linnean Society. Various other authors contributed to the expansion of this work, including F. Pursh, J. Lindley, G. Sinclair, and P. N. Don.
