Edgewear including chips and tears with the bifolium separating along the bottom of the fold, light soiling and toning to the exterior, and a pencil correction to the address on the front cover, still a complete and very good copy. For voice and piano. Plate imprint, "A Life-L. 4." The back cover features a sample of "Lullaby" also by Riley and Krull. The front cover features a photo of the Riley homestead in Greenfield, Indiana. *OCLC* locates only two holdings and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.

[ Meine, Bibliography of 1601, 16 ( see also no. 12]. Allegedly printed for the editor, Vanover. "Backhouse" has been attributed to J. W. Riley, but not by Riley's bibliographers. "French Crisis has been attributed to Eugene Field, but without substantiation, but he is credited for "Little Willie".
