The interior is bright and crisp; however, there is penciling by my philosopher-father---confined to two dozen pages. [Please see multiple images of the actual book.] The price-clipped dustjacket has protected the book nicely but is itself so sunned as to look yellow, not green, with a pale stain at the head and foot of the dustjacket spine; all text remains legible. Smith offers his commiseration on grants Courtney sought not coming through and goes on to recommend a bookstore in Lausanne that stocks Frithjof Schuons books in French. Signed Huston at the bottom in black ink. Other laid-in ephemera includes a typed bibliography of Schuons work, and a NY Times obituary of Annemarie Schimmel, a scholar of Islam.
