A lighthearted pseudonymous memoir by the grandson of Ralph Waldo Emerson, who made his living as a banker and a diplomat. Fuddlehead was the pen name of William Cameron Forbes - a member of the influential Boston family that made its fortune in the opium and tea trade - who served as Governor-General of the Philippines.
