Grant [1852-1940] was a Harvard English Lit graduate and court judge,involved in the Sacco Vanzetti affair. O'Reilly [1844-1890]a Irish Fenian activist transported to Australia who escaped and became a US citizen. All four writers were from the Boston area and this strange futuristic tale involves the British Royal Family living in exile in Boston whilst England is awash with anarchists, Irish revolutionaries & radicals. Neat bookplate of John McDonough East Bloomfield N Y. but no other markings Book is very good++ and very bright indeed. Lovely, tight and square. Slight rubbing to edges. Contents very good.
