The original press packet issued to media organizations in advance of the opening of a major exhibition titled "German Art Now" and held at the Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis, MO, October 18, 2003 - January 11, 2004. The artists represented in the show were Georg Baselitz, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Joseph Beuys, Andreas Gursky, Candida Hofer, Jorg Immendorff, Anselm Kiefer, Markus Lupertz, A.R. Penck, Sigmar Polke, Gerhard Richter, Thomas Ruff, and Thomas Struth. Includes: A high-quality photographic print with images suitable for copying for print of works by Gursky, Richter, and Struth; 6 pages of information about the show; a 2-page checklist for 41 works; and a pamphlet released at a later date announcing a symposium held in conjunction with the exhibition. 9 sheets of 8.5x11-inch paper, printed one side; all Fine. 1 8x10 photograph with a tiny tear to one edge and a light stress crease along one edge. 1 c-fold pamphlet; 6 pages; 2 color and 1 b&w illustrations; 4 x 9 inches; mailed with light indications of such. Also includes the SL Art Museum Magazine Oct - Dec 2003; mailed with the last two pages torn. Will be sandwiched securely between stiff layers of cardboard and shipped the next business day.
