Uniformly bound in red cloth with art nouveau-style gilt stamped flower decoration to front boards and spines. Light soiling to boards; some fading/dulling to spi…nes which have shallow wear/fraying at ends; some shelf rubbing and small stains to board edges. Top edges gilt; light toning to fore-edges and bottom edges. Volume I retains its sewn-in silk ribbon page marker but Volume II lacking its page marker. Light toning/foxing and soiling to endpapers but interior pages are clean. Bindings are firm. Still an attractive set. With b/w plates and guard sheets on unpaged leaves; Volume II has foldout map at rear. Please note that this set has an approximate shipping weight of 4.25 pounds (1.92 kg) and may require additional postage for any postal class other than domestic Media Mail.

A gorgeous collectable set and scarce in such nice condition.
