Illustrated by Quentin Blake. Jacket has minor patchy edge/shelf wear, the odd small mark, odd spot of foxing, patchy browning (including to spine), one pin prick sized hole to top edge of back inner flap, a little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, little pushing/bumping to corners (which has resulted in tiny loss/very small tears), little browning/odd small mark/minor foxing to front/back inner flaps and the occasional small crease/rub to edges. Boards are near fine (having been well protected by the jacket) with very minor pushing to corners and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. One scratch/scrape to page edges. Pages bit tanned. Very occasional small mark to pages. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.

Light pushing to the spine ends. Clean and free from inscriptions with early tanning to the page edges. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near FINE condition although the pink colouring to the spine has faded as usually encountered with this title. The wonderful Blake designed wrapper artwork looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival protector. This is a review copy and is accompanied by a Heinemann Young Books Review Slip which is in FINE condition.The book has been Signed (without dedication) by Sir Quentin Blake to the title page. A copy of the ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance. The wrapper design and 22 B/W line drawings are by Quentin Blake. The story is based on Willis Hall's play 'Kidnapped At Christmas'- The story of Crosby and Gilbert, two convicts on the run who had to escape because they couldn't face the prospect of yet another Christmas dinner in jail.
