While not bright white and some gutters may have pressed flowers or the remnants or shadows of same, the contents (878 pp.) are otherwise mark-free, fully legible, complete and securely bound. Fore edge margin chip in the last few pages. Full light brown leather with four slightly raised pine bands plus red and black leather labels with gilt lettering in two of the spine panels. Faint blind-stamped border lines on the boards. Staining and scuffing to the surface of the boards but such wear arguably adds to their character more than it detracts. Also has exposed corner tips and cracks and/or tears along the front and rear spine edges from the bottom.
