Folio. 15'' x 11''. Contains frontispiece (plate lvii), additional illustrated title page, title page, (viii), 116 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrations and geometric drawings throughout the text block, followed by 71 full-page (as called for) single-sided plates including one colour and many double-page. Foxing to the later pages and plates, two plates have well executed humorous colour illustrations to the verso. Just rebound leaving the volume sound and strong to handle and use.
