Couverture rigide. Etat : Très bon. (16,5x24,5cm), 680pp (suivies de 3pp d'erratas manuscrits), cartonnage entoilé d'éditeur, percaline, dos illustré de fers dorés, plats estampés à froid. Mathématicien, ingénieur hydrographe, Jean François Callet (1744-1798) publia en 1783 une édition aussi commode qu'utile des excellentes tables de logarithmes de William Gardiner. Il y ajouta en 1795 les logarithmes des sinus pour la nouvelle division décimale du cercle. Cet ouvrage, le plus exact et le plus étendu que l'on possède en ce genre, a été stéréotypé par Firmin Didot. Réédité de nombreuses fois il fut amélioré en 1857 par le mathématicien Jean Dupuis. Très bel exemplaire.
