"The Phonograph and Vowel Sounds", a wonderful three-part paper in Nature, as follows: (1) July 25, 1878, pp 340-343, with illustrations; (2) August 8, 1878, pp 395-7; (3) August 22,…1878, pp 454-457. All offered in their original weekly formats and each with their original wrappers and advertisements (making them fairly scarce), and removed from a larger bound volume. Very Good Condition. 3 parts:__+__ Also: preceding the first article in July 25 is "A Method of recording Articulate Vibrations by Means of Photography", by E.W. Blake, which evidently appeared in the American Journal of Science, July 1878. The articles in general are beautifully illustrated.
