Scarce hardcovers with elegant half-leather binding, no dust jackets, and non-original marbled endpapers, in very good condition. Chronology table of Mathematicians and Mechanics laid in, Volume I, with a description of the plates booklet in a pocket on the r…ear pastedown of Volume II. Boards are slightly scuffed, with some surface colour loss noted. Edges, corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Previous owner's inscriptions on FEP of both volumes. First and last few pages are foxed, with age related tanning and the occasional mark on some of the pages, which are otherwise clear. Bindings are sound. LW. Used.
