Volume 1 consisted of three double fascicles of 200 pages each published at Calcutta between 1911 and 1914 plus a final fascicle concluding the letter 'L' appearing in 1941. The full title concludes: ".and Hindu Officers of the Timurid Sovereigns of India from 1500 to about 1780 A.D. by Nawwab Samsam-ud-Daula Shah Nawaz Khan and his Son 'Abdul Hayy".
