Light soil to the front & back covers. three dark streaks that don't penetrate to the upper fore edge of the pages in the rear that fade out by page 96. There are no missing pages, however cutouts on pages 11/12 (bottom 2/3 - affects Commonplace article by Norman Rockwell (11) & the illustration for the Lady and the Pirate Story by Rafael Sabatini (12)), 56/56 (5.5" from the fore edge x 7.5" down from the top - affects the text of the serial installment of The Stolen God by Edison Marchall (55) & the illustration for the Blue Water Man story by Kenneth Perkins (56)) & 111/112 (5.5" from the spine x 7.5" up from the bottom - affects the text of the Which Way Now? article by Neil Carothers (111) and the illustration for the Blue Water Man story by Kenneth Perkins (112)). The main attraction of this issue is the Come-On Girl. It's text is not affected by the cutouts. It's one of only 2 stories written by Gardner using the Charles J Kenny pseudonym, both featuring Sam Moraine. This one is less common than This is Murder, a novel published by Morrow. A flawed but acceptable copy with a rare Erle Stanley Gardner story. Paul Hesse (cover), Matt Clark (Come-On Girl), Jay Hyde Barnum (Time of Flight), Charles Bracker (Crime's Family Doctor) and others (illustrateur). …
