Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. Henry James and H. G. Wells: A Record of their Friendship, their Debate on the Art of Fiction, and their Quarrel, Edited by Leon Edel & Gordon N. Ray. Hardcover, UK Edition, 2nd Impression (1959). The book was originally published in 1958. This 2nd impression was published in 1959. Book in very good condition, in a similar price clipped dust jacket. The book shows minor bumping to the spine ends, and wear to the bottom edge of the front panel, with ageing internally. The dust jacket shows some wear and ageing, with a few marks on the back panel. There is notable wear to the extremities, with a couple of minute closed tears to the top of the spine. Overall a very good, tight copy for a book of this age. (See pictures). This book was a personal copy owned by the author Brian Aldiss OBE, part of his effects at the time of his death on August 19th 2017. This is authenticated by a slip enclosed with the book, signed by the Literary Executor of his estate. With this book, the editors have collaborated in an amusing and cautionary study of the friendship and divergence between the author of 'Mr Polly' and the author of 'The Golden Bowl'.
