Etat : Good. 1947. This Edition. 182 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth. Black and white photographic plates. Light foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpaper. Binding is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild scuffing overall. Spine has light sunning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

Editor's introduction. Good to Good+/Poor. Softened upper spine end with touches of surface loss there and at tips of lightly bumped corners. Central cloth and titles clean, bright and sharp. Binding strong and square. Pages very well toned on pulpy, off-quality wartime stock. Jacket is poor, with tears along joints, abrason along edges, soil and toning to central panels. Front photo and titles still quite strong. Completely enclosed in Brodart, not a factor in pricing. Vintage bookseller's label (Parker & Son, Oxford) lower front pastedown.

Hardcover. Etat : Good. 1st Edition. 86pp, not price clipped, no inscriptions, illustrated. Some rubbing to wrapper especially top, bottom and front and rear edges, there are several small tears, slight loss to upper edge of spine and top front corner with a more significant area of loss to bottom of spine. Wrapper has been internally reinforced with special non archive tape, now in clear removable protective sleeve. Very little reading wear internally but there is spotting to front and rear end papers and edge of text block, still a decent copy. Heavy book, please inquire for postage outside the UK.
